MacOS 9 Internet and Email settings...
- Click your "Apple Menu" in the top left corner.
- Go to "Control Panels".
- Click "Internet".

- Click "File".
- Click "New Set".
- Type Heartland for "Name new set:".
- Click Save.

- Make sure "Heartland" selected for the "Active Set:".
- Next to "Edit Sets" make sure the arrow is pointing down.
- "Edit Set:" should be set on "Heartland".
- Click on the "Personal" tab.
- Enter your name next to "Name:"
- Type in your username@hcis.net for the "E-mail Address:"

- Click the "E-mail" tab.
- Type in your username for the "User Account ID:"
- Type in mail.hcis.net next to "Incoming Mail Server:"
- Type in your passwordfor the "Password:"
- Type in mail.hcis.net next to "Outgoing (SMTP) Mail Server:"
- Set "Default E-mail Application:" to Outlook Express.

- Click the "Web" tab.
- Type in www.hcis.net next to "Home Page:"
- Set the "Default Web Browser:" to Microsoft Internet Explorer

- Click the "News" tab.
- Type in news.hcis.net next to "News (NNTP) Server:"
- Select "Registered User"
- Type in your username for the "Name:"
i.e. jsmith
- Type in your password for the "Password:"
Make sure it's small case and no spaces.

- Close the window and Save the changes.
